What is Virtual Connected Literacy?
The Connected Literacy Program is a FREE virtual tutoring program offered through a partnership with Hamilton County Schools, Tennessee Department of Education, and the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga.
- Allows parents and guardians to choose the most convenient schedule for the family.
- Offers students 12 weeks of free, virtual literacy tutoring.
- 30-minute tutoring session is focused on literacy skills.
- Sessions are held with no more than three students at a time, ensuring that each student’s individual needs are met.
Virtual sessions will be offered onĀ Tuesdays between 5:00 – 7:00 pm & Saturdays between 9:00 – noon.

OUR FOCUS
FOUNDATIONAL LITERACY SKILLS
Students access current HCS literacy curriculum to ensure alignment with classroom instruction.
LITERACY GOALS
Tutors work one-on-one or in small groups with students to help assess and accomplish their individual literacy goals.
TUTORS
All tutors are Hamilton County School educators or a trained tutor. Students participate virtually, twice a week in 30-minute sessions.
